Beliefs We believe in the Father, Son (Jesus), and the Holy Spirit, adult baptism, love feast (John 13, 1-20), anointing for healing (James 5: 14), a peaceful alternative to all violence, no force in religion, service to others (Matthew 25: 31-46), New Testament as our rule of faith and life, and the Bible as the divinely inspired word of God, meaningful in the past, present, and future.
Service involvements We participate in Miami County Habitat for Humanity, Tipp Community Services, Miami County Jail Ministry, Global project for World Hunger, local food Co-op, District Outdoor Ministries camping program at Woodland Altars (for children and adults), Brethren’s Retirement facility, and Bethany Seminary teaching and activities.
History Organized as Middle District Church in August 1876, we held our first communion in the Samuel Coppock family barn located on County Route 25a. This church was the first in southern Ohio to send a cow to the heifer project for war relief after WWII. Our first building was destroyed by fire Dec 23, 1945. The name was changed to Good Shepherd in Jan 1999, and the church survived a second fire on Jan 30, 2000. |

You are invited to participate in our Worship. Our purpose is to glorify God. Good Shepherd has a beautiful sanctuary with a same level restroom facility. It is ideal for Spiritual growth.
The church is conveniently located just outside Tipp City, with ample parking on a paved lot and an access ramp for those who are physically challenged. On the lower level is a modern kitchen, fellowship hall, and nursery which is clean and safe. We have hand picked, competent people available to watch small children during Worship.
Besides regular Sunday services, we have Bible studies, Women’s fellowship, a youth praise team, and spontaneous gathering times for fun and fellowship
The Church of the Brethren encourages anointing for healing, support, or blessing. If you are interested, contact Pastor Ken.
